Red Bull Music Academy‘s four city takeover heads to Bristol this weekend for seven world class events starting off with a Seth Troxler hat-trick. Kicking off events at The Canteen this Thursday, Seth chats to Resident Advisor‘s Nick Sabine before heading over to The Love Inn where he’ll be cooking up a specially curated menu then taking to the decks for an all night session.
Friday night sees the tour take to the grand 17th century manor house on Kings Weston estate as they link up with Crack Magazine to present Lords of the Manor with Danny Brown, MUMDANCE, Novelist, The Square and Livin’ Proof for a night of decadence and debauchery.
The celebrations keep on coming Saturday afternoon as record store Idle Hands opens its doors for RBMA Radio as they are joined by Appleblim, Chris Farrell, Felix Dickinson, Hodge, DJ Krust, Shanti Celeste and Troy Gunner from 2pm onwards. As the evening rolls in Goat ask everyone to leave their belongings and identities at the door as they host a masked ball at Circomedia for Sounds of Surrender.
Sunday night sees the Just Jack guys team up with Altered States to showcase DJ Koze and Italojohnson at the Arnolfini. An evening of exploration into the Amygdala (the part of the brain responsible for autonomic responses) and emotional language within hidden fields, as the crowd become part of a life sized experiment. With the weekends events coming to a close on Bank Holiday Monday at the Planetarium with Lonnie Liston Smith & Gilles Peterson (Live).
It’s going to be a jam-packed weekend and spaces are limited at many of the venues so make sure you get down early or get tickets in advance to avoid missing out!
