As we celebrate 17 years of Data Transmission, we’re bringing back a true powerhouse of house music – CASSIMM – for an electrifying episode of The Podcast!

CASSIMM has cemented himself as a standout name in the global house scene, dropping fire on Defected, Toolroom, Snatch! and beyond. His signature sound blends classic house roots with a fresh, high-energy approach, winning support from legends like Marco Carola, The Martinez Brothers, Honey Dijon, and Claptone.

Now, he’s kicking off 2025 in style with his latest collab alongside Polish DJ/producer D’Vision‘You Got It All’ – landing on Claptone’s Golden Recordings on 17th January. Expect infectious synth melodies, groove-heavy basslines, and a hook that’ll be running through your head long after the club lights come up.

Today, he returns to the podcast. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or iTunes here.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
A short version of an all-night-long set I’d do.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
A part from my new one? Probably the new Crusy-Tony Romera-Loe Steppa track “Watch Out”

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
I like to build my mixes the same way I do when I perform live—never sticking to the same part or BPM for too long

Tell us about your next EP?
My next single will be on Danny Howard’s Nothing Else Matters label, but I also have a few remixes out—one on Patrick Topping’s Trick and one for Bakermat, both worth checking out!

What have you got coming up?
Spring and Summer are looking the best yet!! some amazing gigs and festivals.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
Thanks for keeping it alive and supporting the industry in every way possible

Years ago, the Amnesia closing party was a well-kept secret among Ibiza’s insiders. But over time, the word has spread, and it’s become one of the island’s wildest and longest-running celebrations, truly embodying the spirit of Ibiza. If you’ve been, you know it’s the party that ends all parties.

This year, Amnesia is taking it to a whole new level. Ever seen another Ibiza club throw a festival for its closing? Or stretch it out over two days? Or pack in more than 30 artists with back-to-back exclusive sets?

The answer is no, but that’s changing this year on 11th and 12th October. Amnesia is about to make history again with the Amnesia Closing Festival, pushing the boundaries like never before. They’re adding an extra day for those who want to double the Amnesia energy.

Jamie Jones b2b Joseph Capriati at Amnesia

On Friday, 11th October, the Main Room will feature Ben Hemsley, Hannah Laing, Les Schmitz, and Malugi, while the Terrace will host Claptone, Danny Howard, Sammy Virji, Sonny Fodera, and Jan.

The real test for party warriors is on Saturday, 12th October, with a groundbreaking B2B lineup on the Terrace. It’s all about unity and strength with sets from Adam Beyer B2B Marco Faraone, Cuartero B2B Manda Moor, East End Dubs B2B Mar-T, Londonground B2B Manu Desrets, Hot Since 82 B2B Rossi., Sidney Charles B2B Caal, and a repeat of the 2023 closing’s success with resident DJs Jamie Jones B2B Joseph Capriati, capping it off with a Sunrise Extended Back to Back Set.

In line with its new brand identity, Amnesia has gone dark on social media, embracing its name’s essence with a bold statement: “Memories are overrated. The Amnesia Ibiza Closing Festival is calling clubbers worldwide to let go and be truly free. These two days are all about living in the moment, dancing until the last drop of sweat hits the floor, and soaking up the unique magic of the white island.”

Australia-born, LA-based singer RY X has released a massive new remix of his track ‘Body Sun’ by the infamous golden mask adorned Berlin producer and enigma Claptone.

After the break-out success of his minimalist EP “Berlin” Ry notched up a string of sold-out shows across Europe, the US and Australia including both the Union Chapel and Shepherds Bush Empire in 2016 alone.

Claptone’s reworking shows off his well-renowned, almost mystical skills by reinterpreting ‘Body Sun’ as a future club classic while staying true to its origins.

Speaking about the remix, Claptone says: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Ry’s s voice, as it’s so mysterious and beautiful in a very unique way. But not only that. The chorus of ‘Body Sun’ just took me under its spell from when I first listened to it and I felt the urge to get this in shape for all the festivals and clubs in this world, to deliver the message so to speak. When the chorus kicks in, it’s goosebumps, sunrise, arms wide open, all at the same time.”
