Texas has been a hotbed for electronic music for what seems like more than a hot minute now. Having hosted earlier versions of Electric Daisy Carnival, Nocturnal Festival, and various other electronic infused events, it was just a matter of time before local promoters flexed the muscles of their musical prowess to encompass the growing house and techno scene sweeping over the United States.

Having recently hosted Austin’s first Dirtybird BBQ and an Anjunadeep: Open Air event, Austin based promoter RealMusic Events has had a heavy hand in the direction Texas has taken into the underground music realm and is using this opportunity to build a bigger stage for the city and state. The result is its brainchild, Seismic Dance Event. Taking place at Carson Creek Ranch, a scenic 58-acre ranch, rich in history, nestled on the banks of the Colorado River over the weekend of September 21st and 22nd.

Being only minutes from downtown Austin, it is the ideal setting for any event, which was the site for the previously mentioned Anjunadeep: Open Air and has swiftly become a favourite outdoor attraction with the locals.

Boasting three confirmed stages spanning over multiple genres in the underground electronic music spectrum, the two day festival bring newcomers and heavy hitters alike, with a lineup toting Amtrac, Armand Van Helden, Attlas, Claptone, Cut Snake, Drezo, Duke Dumont, GAWP, Green Velvet, Hotel Garuda, Kora, Lane 8, Latmun, Lee Reynolds, Marbs, Mikey Lion, Omnom, Option4, Porky, Rrotik, Rybo, Sacha Robotti, SNBRN, Tinlicker, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs (DJ Set), Weiss, ZDS with more names to be announced, is a fresh take on the festival circuit in the southern part of the United States.

Some well-known labels are also represented by the artist spread featuring talent signed on Anjunadeep, Desert Hearts, Dirtybird, and Audiophile Music Group amongst others.

This is a huge win for the underground community in the southern part of the United States and will make for an excellent choice to close out your festival season.
