Bodessa drop debut EP ‘Explicit’ through Marylebone Records

Share

As the party season gets into full swing, DJ duo Bodessa drop their debut EP Explicit, guaranteed to keep the dance floor pumping.

The two-track EP is designed for peak-time club settings. Body Language’s hypnotic acid synth mixes with airy vocals and a striking reverb vocal, whilst title track Explicit explores the darker elements of tech house, combining heavy sub-bass and punchy kick with sharp hats. Explicit infuses the stripped back sounds of minimal tech.

Bodessa is the alias created by DJs Sara Fry and David Lowe during the last winter lockdown. They came together with the ambition of combining their unique sounds into a heavy-hitting club record in anticipation of the return to raving post-pandemic. With solo releases on Saved, Cuff, Stashed, Rawsome, Coco and Freak, Bodessa combine to bring a new sound that’s ready to light up the industry.

Talking through the inspiration behind Explicit EP they said: “We were missing the raves and wanted to create tracks that we could imagine going off at events post lockdown, we think they would bang in a club!”

Rising DJ, Sara Fry is already making an impression on the scene with her distinctive, iconic sounds, which range from melodic deep tech to techno and house. Citing influences from legends such as Hot Since 82, Piero Pirupa and Eli Brown, Sara’s explosive energy is the foundation upon which all her tracks are built.

London-based DJ and producer David Lowe is one to watch in the UK underground scene. Renowned for his heavy-hitting drums and dark, infectious baselines, David’s productions have already gained support from the likes of Sosa, Solardo, Blackchild and many more.

Combining their talents, Bodessa is guaranteed to be setting clubs alight with banging tracks.

Explicit EP drops on all platforms on Friday 26th November – grab it on Beatport.
