Francisco Allendes returns to Moon Harbour with ‘Monster’

Share

Francisco Allendes makes his annual return to Moon Harbour with beastly new single ‘Monster.’

Chilean-born but Ibiza-based Allendes last appeared on the label with ‘4 Emergency,’ a collaboration with Aldo Cadiz that did great things. It was the latest in a long line of hits for Allendes who is no stranger to vital Tech House tunes. He’s served them up on elrow Music, Saved Records and VIVa while holding residencies at the likes of ANTS at Ushuaia and winning the Best Ibiza DJ at the DJ Awards. He brings plenty of that know-how to this explosive new production.

The superb ‘Monster’ is a tightly woven track from the off. The pinging kicks, the tribal percussion and rugged drum fills all make for a robust groove. That physical side is offset by a delicately-delivered spoken word vocal that brings soulful intensity. It builds the pressure as the track unfolds and gets gently filtered, tweaking the mood until the whole thing erupts and lifts the roof off the club.

‘Monster’ is a perfectly named and perfectly designed new weapon from Francisco Allendes.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
