Techno purists, take note—Myles Sergé and his (MS) imprint deliver a heavyweight remix package for his recently released track ‘Shoplifter’, featuring an all-star lineup of producers bringing fresh, club-ready interpretations. At the forefront is the Anders Ilar & John H Remix, a standout rework that transforms the original into an expansive, acid-fueled odyssey.

The Swedish duo, known for their work on New York Haunted, Another Earth, Echocord, and Shitkatapult, craft a bouncing, rubbery 303 bassline that evolves into a colossal, hypnotic groove. Their remix pulses with energy, maintaining the stripped-back, jackin’ essence of the original while injecting a dynamic, infectious acid flow perfect for late-night dancefloors.

This remix joins an eclectic selection of reimaginations from techno heavyweights, including Dustin Zahn, Lester Fitzpatrick, Chicago Skyway, Nuntius Noctis, and Black Mirror Park, each offering their own unique spin on Myles Sergé’s hypnotic and immersive original.

We’re thrilled to premiere ‘Night Is a Buzz,’ the title track from Ackermann’s debut EP on Sous Music, kicking off 2025 with a vibrant and energetic techno release. Following his standout remix for Anja Schneider’s 2024 ‘Reworks & Remixes’ compilation, the Stuttgart-based DJ and producer returns to the label with a full release that solidifies his reputation as a rising force in the underground scene.

‘Night Is a Buzz’ is a high-energy techno anthem, perfectly capturing the essence of a chaotic, colourful night out. With cut-up vocals, driving beats, and a relentless rhythm, the track encapsulates Ackermann’s ability to craft dynamic dancefloor moments.

The ‘Night Is a Buzz’ EP is a testament to Ackermann’s versatility, featuring two more tracks that explore different facets of his artistry. ‘Make Things Right’ offers a housy, groove-driven vibe with a nod to classic house heads, while ‘Moving On’ takes a deeper, faster, and uplifting approach to modern techno. Each track adds a unique dimension to the EP, showcasing Ackermann’s mastery of genre-blending while keeping the energy levels high.

“With ‘Night Is a Buzz,’ I wanted to create a track that works as the soundtrack to a hectic, colorful, and bright night out that flashes by, takes unexpected turns, and ends too quickly. To complete the package, I added a more classic house vibe with ‘Make Things Right’ and a deeper yet uplifting techno outfit with ‘Moving On.’ I’m very happy and humbled to release an EP on Anja’s label after my remix for her ‘All I See’ last year and grateful for her trust in my music!”

Speaking about the release, Ackermann shared:

Sous Music continues its mission of spotlighting cutting-edge talent, and Ackermann’s debut EP is a shining example of the label’s forward-thinking approach.
