Piem teams up with Ekoboy on ‘Sensation’ EP

Share

Jacky’s label is only just over a year old but now already it clocks up an 11th standout EP. This time from trendsetting pals Piem & Ekoboy, who serve up to three chunky rollers between them.

Piem is the Spanish artist who curates his own Moods party at the W Hotel in London and has released on key labels such as Relief, Crosstown Rebels and Mother Recordings. Here he offers two solo cuts, while one finds him link with huge talent Ekoboy aka Vangelis Kostoxenakis, who has made his name on the likes of Moon Harbour, Dirtybird, Box of Cats, Repopulate Mars amongst others.

Our premiere is the collaboration, ‘Sensation’. A superbly loopy and infectious cut with low slung beats and bass that pumps the party. Vocal stabs and smart filters all add to the drama of this straight-up weapon. There has been no relenting from this vital young label and it now continues to serve up red hot house heat in 2020.
