Bristol and Way Out West legend Jody Wisternoff‘s new studio album, ‘Nightwhisper’ (his first in eight years) was released May 1 on Anjunadeep. It was recorded at his home studio in Bristol.

His history is pretty incredible in the 80’s he was a part of the Tru Funk Posse (with his brother Sam) and was mentored by the legends Smith & Mighty who opened up their studio to the brothers. Their tracks received support from the likes of Tim Westwood and some great press coverage from the likes of The Face as well. In the ’90s Jody met Nick Warren in a record shop and they eventually made music together and formed the iconic dance act “Way Out West” who is responsible for classics like “The Gift” and “Ajare” while releasing five studio albums.

Jody is a prolific studio producer and DJ, having released countless singles, One studio album and seven instalments of the Anjunadeep compilation series.

Today, he joins me on the BOOST Podcast.  We chatted about his new album, production tips, we chatted about drums, he gave me his 5 things every producer needs to know and finally, we spoke about hardware. You can listen below or on Apple PodcastsSpotifyGoogle Podcast and more via Anchor.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
