Mix of the Day: Charlie Tee

mm_charlietee

If anybody’s laid down the groundwork to warrant their position within the scene right now, it’s Charlie Tee. Whether you’re tuning into her flagship Friday Night Kiss Fresh show, or front row watching her at a rave, for one of her sets. It’s clear to see that dance music is not just a passion or a hobby, it’s her life.

Starting out as an intern for DJ Mag, honing her broadcasting skills on a community station, running a respected music blog, being chosen for Sony music’s exclusive online 16-24 think-tank and touring with titan imprint Black Butter records from early.  It was her warm and affable nature though, that landed her her first big gig as the face of D&BTV.  She was the first DJ on that KISS FM slot to introduce guests and exclusive mixes. Already she’s hosted the likes of Kidnap Kid, Shiba San, Solardo, High Contrast, S.P.Y., Blonde, Poté and many more.

Outside of the radio, Charlie Tee is a well seasoned DJ.  Purveyor of fine underground music, writer, blogger, broadcaster, DJ… There are many strings to Charlie Tee’s bow and we welcome her warmly to the Mix of the Day series!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
