Mix of the Day: Carly Foxx

Share

Carly Foxx is a London based DJ and electronic music producer, with a dynamic & eclectic sound reflecting a love of house, acid, and disco that spans the decades.

Her productions consolidate deep & hypnotic grooves with often moody & emotive landscapes, created more unique by the use of her own signature vocal. Carly’s 2015 release ‘Let Me Be Yours’ on Danse Club Records, included a main room remix from dance music veteran DJ T (Get Physical, AUS) and led to her debut at Joris Vroons’ ANTS Warehouse Project Party. Following this was a remix of Robert Owens on Roger Sanchez’s Stealth Records, before the release of her ‘Under My Skin,’ EP, including a Luca C mix, on Vitalik Recordings.

‘Call My Name’ is her latest release (which we premiered on data transmission here), perfect for the summer, and teamed with a throwback acid house Remix from MANIK (BPitch, Ovum), which is out now on her own imprint, Love Story Recordings.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
