Stowaway Festival has unveiled the second wave of artists for its 2025 edition, set to take place from 15th to 17th August in the stunning ancient woodlands and lakes near Stowe, Buckinghamshire. Now in its fourth year, the festival continues to carve out a unique identity, blending world-class music, immersive experiences, and a deep connection to nature.

Leading the charge, globally acclaimed dance music icons Jungle will deliver a headline DJ set, bringing their signature blend of funk, soul, and electronic grooves to the Stowaway stage. Reggae legends The Wailers, known for their timeless hits and connection to Bob Marley’s legacy, will bring an authentic roots reggae experience. Another pioneer of reggae and punk, Don Letts, will be behind the decks, spinning an eclectic selection that embodies his genre-crossing legacy. Groove Armada’s Tom Findlay makes a welcome return following the duo’s unforgettable 2024 set, promising another journey through house, funk, and electronic classics.

“I had a ball playing twice at the brilliant Stowaway last summer and so happy to be invited back this year to play disco on the Listen Here stage either side of some of my favourite DJs…. see you on the dance floor!” – Tom Findlay (Groove Armada)

The second wave of artists also features jungle trailblazer DJ Storm, a key figure in the Drum & Bass scene, and NTS selector Shy One, known for her genre-fluid approach to DJing. Festival favourite Luke Una will go B2B with the ever-eclectic Prosumer, delivering a set brimming with deep cuts and dancefloor energy. They join an already stacked line-up featuring previously announced headliners Fabio & Grooverider and The Outlook Orchestra, Shy FX, Derrick Carter, Horse Meat Disco, Seun Kuti, Anna Erhard, James Alexander Bright, Cousin Kula, and Webmoms. Our very own Hobbs & Ron Mexico will also be there for their debut at Stowaway and will bring their usual energy, vibes and fun! With this stellar selection, Stowaway continues to raise the bar as one of the UK’s most exciting rising festivals, blending electronic, jazz, reggae, and leftfield sounds into an unmissable weekend.

“The Stowaway lineup is designed to offer something for every musical taste, showcasing a diverse range of sounds across the festival each night. From late-night discos to family-friendly singalongs, each day brings something new, with our stages offering fresh experiences every evening. We want to take you on a musical adventure, whether it’s exploring the woods, relaxing by the jetty, or hunting down our secret late-night ‘covers’ bar…” Festival founder Duncan Wheeler

Launched in 2022, Stowaway Festival was created as the perfect escape from modern-day distractions, offering an immersive weekend of music, nature, and connection. Set against a breathtaking backdrop, the festival brings together world-class DJs and live acts for an uplifting, genre-spanning experience. Its popularity continues to soar—this summer, attendance grew by over 20%, defying the odds in a challenging festival climate. The festival prides itself on its intimate atmosphere, where like-minded music lovers can dance beneath the stars, explore hidden woodland stages, and discover new sounds in a truly unique setting.

Beyond the music, Stowaway offers a thoughtfully curated selection of artisan food and drink, with everything from locally sourced street food to craft cocktails and independent breweries. Fabio & Grooverider

Stowaway Festival 2025 has just dropped their first wave of artists. The festival will take place between 15th and 17th August in the beautiful ancient woodlands and lakes near Stowe, Buckinghamshire.

Topping the bill are Fabio & Grooverider with The Outlook Orchestra, the first headliners to be announced. They’ll be joined by a killer lineup that includes Shy FX, Derrick Carter, Horse Meat Disco, Sean Kuti, Anna Erhard, James Alexander Bright, Cousin Kula, and Webmoms. And don’t worry, there’s loads more to come—more headliners and acts will be revealed early next year.

Stowaway is only in its 3rd year but is already establishing a reputation for balancing the sometimes incompatible concepts of ‘electronic music’
and ‘kid friendly’.
The Guardian, Festival Guide 2024

Since kicking off in 2022, Stowaway Festival has been all about giving people a break from the everyday grind. It’s the kind of weekend where you can vibe to top-notch music in a jaw-dropping setting, surrounded by amazing people. The festival’s been on the up too—2024 saw a 20% boost in attendance, a big win in what’s been a tough time for festivals.

But it’s not just about the tunes. There’s loads to dive into: mouth-watering artisan food and drink, wild swimming, canoeing, paddleboarding, and wellness activities to help you chill out. Got kids? No problem—there’s plenty for them to do too, all included in the ticket. And if you’re after something a bit more indulgent, the lakeside woodland spa’s got you covered.

To mature revellers who still love the thud of bass but want a festival which is clean, safe, beautiful, friendly and fun, Stowaway is a gift.Oxford Mail

The festival’s also big on doing things the right way. They work with local suppliers, focus on eco-friendly practices, and keep the vibe community-centred. There are recycling points all over, and they’re all about cutting down on single-use plastic—so don’t forget your reusable bottle. Plus, they’re teaming up with local charities to give back.

For the explorers out there, there’s plenty of adventure to be had. Think hidden trails, secret stages, and surprise pop-up performances that keep things fresh. Workshops like yoga, mindfulness, and crafting make sure there’s a little something for everyone.

For a small festival, Stowaway packs a lot in, especially given everything – including the fairground rides – is free, something we’ve never seen before. With an ethos that seems to prioritise love over money, its future feels assured.Record Of The Day

So, whether you’re raving under the stars, soaking up the natural beauty, or uncovering the festival’s hidden gems, Stowaway is the perfect place to make memories with your crew. Keep an eye out for more updates—2025’s shaping up to be something special!

Tickets for Stowaway Festival 2025 are on sale now and start at £209. Don’t hang about, secure yours today from their website!

Let me tell you why Oasis needs to be on your festival checklist for next year. My second time returning to the festival which is now in its fourth year and they’ve gone back to their roots and returned to the original site The Fellah Hotel Marrakech.

Similar to last years site (The Source Hotel) The Fellah grounds also have tiny winding paths & off road dirt trails with various herbs planted around, still making it the best smelling festival ever. Stages surrounded by bamboo trees, handwoven lanterns hanging around some cleverly placed lighting and smoke machines helps to create a mystical ‘Oasis’ of an atmosphere.

This year there were 3 main stages, Oasis, Bamboo & Mirage and 2 smaller hidden ones also playing music during the day. Each stage had a very different feel with the Oasis one having a huge pool covered by decking which got quite bouncy when it filled out. The bamboo stage was my favourite, literally an arena surrounded by huge bamboo trees with a little island in the middle with a moat. Needless to say, not everyone stayed dry at that stage after it got dark! Finally, the Mirage stage was very open with a big pool and lots of inflatables and a big chill out space, each stage carried its own unique sound and atmosphere on each day.

One of the more hidden locations Welcome to the Kingdom was a little fashion boutique showcasing some of Amine Bendriouich’s modern and vintage fashion expressions and some of Africa’s finest contemporary art. You could even get a haircut in there! After having scoped the site and met some raving buddies it was time to get stuck in, straight over to the Bamboo stage to catch one of Australia’s best CC:Disco! Have to say I have never heard such booming disco, it was a heavy hitting variation with dirty basslines and uplifting vocals.

Switzerland’s finest, Deetron over on Oasis stage, let’s go! Accompanied with his usual 3 deck set up and versatility in the music game, he was slinging out vocals, house beats & techy wobbles seamlessly and captivating the crowd There’s no chance for a rest when Deetron is playing.

Nastia was up next and her goal of making people dance was definitely achieved, the main stage was packed with high energy and good vibes right in time for Paula Temple to take over with an intense dosage of hardcore techno. Having never seen the self-confessed noisician play before I didn’t know what to expect but she was relentless. No shadow of a doubt my love for heavy techno has grown after watching her bring such energy and when she was ready to go, she smiled to herself, swiftly shut her laptop and strolled off stage like a boss!

None other than Berghain resident Ben Klock closing out the main stage turned the day to a techno marathon with a class display of his skill to curate a vibe and atmosphere.

© Photography by Ollie Simcock for Here & Now (fb.com/wearehereandnow)

Arriving on the second day I noticed a bit of a theme in the style of music being played and soon discovered they have a music called ‘Gnawa’. It’s the sound of south Morocco and music of the Nomads and it’s a very repetitive almost tribal style of music which many of the Moroccan DJs were able to mix in with techno/house bassline to create a unique sound. William Djoko was on the main stage getting his groove on with super uplifting tracks and high energy behind the decks, I mean we all love it when the DJ is loving it too right? What a character!

Triple back to back set next with Oasis champion Amine K, Denis Horvat & Alex Niggemann. Three talented DJs for 3 hours all from different parts of the world coming together to create something special. Combining techno & melodic Gnawa sounds it had a real tribal vibe and the Moroccans were absolutely loving life.

© Photography by Ollie Simcock for Here & Now (fb.com/wearehereandnow)

OH YES! OH YES!

Anyone who has seen Carl Cox play before will know what I mean when I say he lives up to the title of the King. After the close of Space, he spoke about doing fewer shows and only hand selecting where he plays around the world and being my first time actually seeing him play I was blown away! The man knows the recipe to create a sick party and also one of the few that can get away with using a microphone. Mixing in Ultra Nate’s – You’re free with a banging bassline to close out was cheeky. Smashed it!

My final and favourite day at Oasis and I could hear the sounds of La Fleur through the bamboo shoots and so dived in to get my wiggle on. Fighting to the front to find out who is creating these Tech house vibrations and I discovered a little Swedish woman dancing around behind the decks, damn she got good vibes, definitely recommend catching her set if she’s on a line up near you.

© Photography by Khris Cowley for Here & Now (fb.com/wearehereandnow)

Crosstown Rebels boss Damian Lazarus took over and drew an epic crowd. Bringing that house & techno sound he’s infamous for, his music is somewhat of a journey, really curating a well thought out set leaving us wanting more. Here’s my next dilemma; Honey Dijon up next and Derrick Carter b2b The Black Madonna are over on the main stage, damn. Honey Dijon got started and I had to stay for at least an hour. Jacking house & Chicago techno running through her veins and being a common name on Defected’s line up it’s no question why she causes chaos on the dancefloor, mixing in hip-hop vocals to big beats had us captivated but we had to catch some of the main stage and we were not disappointed we did.

What Derrick Carter & Black Madonna created was something I had never seen before. Soulful, housey, bouncing, vocal, bassy, disco & techno all in one set! The flavour and energy they were creating was sick, to be able to be that versatile and bounce off one another behind the decks was a true display of mastery. These Chicago house heavyweights are one not to be missed by any means!

© Photography by Khris Cowley for Here & Now (fb.com/wearehereandnow)

The penultimate to take the stage, Black Coffee steps up to fire up the dancefloor with his tribally infectious, vocal-laced beats, anyone familiar with Circo Loco will know what I’m talking about. Finally, German DJ & producer Koze stepped up to close out Oasis. Slowing down the pace a little with some atmospheric techno breaks between heavy vibrations he left us feeling fulfilled.

I find there are 3 key ingredients to a good party; venue, crowd & music and honestly there was a lot of skill, diversity and creativity among the talent attending; a true display of some of the best underground music around. Combining that with an absolutely stunningly designed, quirky festival site with a lot of attention to small details and originality then sprinkle a diverse, open minded and loving crowd of people from over 45 different countries and sounds like you’ve got the recipe Oasis!
Thank you for having me and you know you’ll see me next year still chanting ‘Crepes & Vibes!’

The post Reviewed: Terminal V – Easter Sunday appeared first on Data Transmission.

Easter Sunday is often lauded as the time for religious celebration & Easter egg hunting with young nieces and nephews. This year I went for something a little different and headed to Edinburgh to experience all the delights and frivolous behaviour that the young, Scottish, techno day party Terminal V had to offer.

The Royal Highland Centre venue where the day’s activities were to take place is one of Scotland’s largest venues and exhibition centres and the perfect location for a 10-hour techno bonanza. The 3 rooms consisted of the huge, industrial, and very impressive Area V main stage, and the smaller ‘Terminal’ and ‘Lab’ rooms for more intimate moments. There was also a small VIP courtyard, for all the revellers that wanted to soak up the supposedly rare Scottish springtime sunshine that was on offer 🙂

On arrival, you couldn’t help but be blown away by the sheer size of the place, with a light production installation and a booming sound system that powered through you like a miniscule Earthquake. This was the perfect playground for the Terminal V lineup on offer. A lineup consisting of such dance music aficionados as Rødhåd, Pan-Pot, Amelie Lens, Bicep, Kölsch, Artwork, Peggy Gou and Derrick Carter amongst many, many more, was not to be sniffed at.

As 2pm hit and the many clubbers started streaming in, we were eased into the day’s proceedings in the Terminal room with the soothing warm up sounds of Mella Dee. Swiftly followed by everybody’s cheeky chappy Artwork, and woman of the moment Peggy Gou. Peggy particularly had the crowd in the palm of her hand, soon shown by a wonderful Scottish rendition of the ‘Peggy Gou’ chant and shoe waving that has become such a trademark of any set from the young South Korean since last summer!

After feeling suitably warmed up and eased in, I went in search of some of the heavier hitting sounds over to be found in the Area V stage. On arrival, Helena Hauff was expertly leaving the ‘Laddies & Lassies’ dancing and roaring in approval with well-crafted techno bombs, swiftly followed by an Amelie Lens set that proved why she is one of the hottest names on everybody’s lips in the industry at the moment, providing most probably my favourite set of the day.

I ventured to check out the ‘Lab’ room next as Derrick Carter was providing a very special Disco set for the occasion. He did so flawlessly with such gems as Donna Summer – ‘Bad Girls’, and George Benson ‘Give Me The Night’ in particular going off to scrupulous delight to the joyous clubbers in the vicinity.

I rounded off my Sunday festivities by heading to see the closing sets from German duo Pan-Pot and the always-enigmatic Rødhåd. Rødhåd brought the event down to massive acclaim and a huge ovation at the close, where the main room was pretty much packed to capacity to witness the Berghain techno heavyweight in all his glory!

Terminal V was one of the best Techno day showcases I’ve seen in the UK for a while, hitting every key ingredient for the perfect techno feast undoubtedly! A memorable Easter, they nailed it!

The next chapter of Terminal V is October 27th 2018
