This August Bank Holiday the historic Clapham Common is once again taken over by music lovers, as the festival powerhouse, South West Four, makes its annual visit. Now into its 15th year, the once 1-day festival, which made its debut all the way back in 2004, has seen some of the most loved dance acts take to the stage over the years. This year is no exception, delivering a line up to rival some of the best festivals the UK has to offer.
With the usual array of world-class DJ’s on offer, the festival also boasts a huge helping of some of the best Grime, Trap and R&B acts. SW4 is a music lovers dream. So, with that in mind, we’re going to give you a Top 5 must-see acts for each day of this year’s line-up.

Saturday
5. COCO COLE
The face of dance music for festival partners, Capital FM, Coco Cole has earned a lot of recognition in her relatively short career thus far. Receiving nominations alongside many titans of the DJ world and also having the accolade of being called “vital cog in the machinery of UK Dance” by Mixmag. A resident of the famous Pacha in Ibiza and playing to a diehard Tomorrowland crowd, Coco Cole will deliver the freshest sounds that House and Techno have to offer.
4. IDRIS ELBA B2B LOW STEPPA
He can act, he can sing, he can DJ. Damn, I bet he can even dance like a pro as well. It’s hard not to be envious of Idris Elba. But instead, I’d recommend just being in awe of the all-around talent. Idris is equally adept on the big screen as his behind the decks. Having played some of the Worlds top festivals for the past 23 years. This year, in an SW4 exclusive he teams up with Birmingham’s bass hero, Low Steppa. After announcing his arrival on the music scene with his bootleg of Route 94’s “My love” back in 2013, which helped kick-start the bass house revolution, with Low Steppa at the forefront. This will truly be an incredible combination, worthy of SW4’s 15-year celebration.
3. SINEAD HARNETT
Irish-Thai Singer-songwriter, Sinead Harnett, came to prominence in 2011 when she teamed up with grime artist Wiley on his single “Walk Away”. Since then she has featured on a track for Disclosure and contributed songwriting and locals on Rudimental’s debut album, Home. With hits of her own such as ‘Rather Be With You’, Sinead is certainly one of the UK’s biggest R&B stars and will bring her rich a soulful voice to the MainStage on Saturday.
2. NETSKY B2B JAUZ B2B SLUSHII
Another huge addition to the 15th birthday celebrations sees 3 huge individuals in their own right, come together for what will certainly be a high energy performance. Netsky once again returns to the common after countless incredible performances in years gone by. For American born Slushii, this will be his SW4 debut. The 21-year-old who has collaborated with the likes of Marshmello in the past will be bringing his mix of dubstep and electro house to what will sure to be a pumped crowd. Fellow American, Jauz, returns to SW4 after an incredible performance that had the crowd bouncing last year. This is going to be a must-see performance, full of energy and incredible, pumping tunes.
1. MK
After being at the forefront of the house music scene, his “Area 10” label, unforgettable sets and endless amount of hits, it’s safe to say that MK is now considered a House music legend. Once again returning to SW4 to join in the celebration and with his new single “17” securing him his first UK Dance #1, MK is sounding better than ever. Always one to pull in a huge crowd, we can’t wait to see MK doing what he’s done so well, for so many years, captivating his many adoring fans.

5. SASASAS
The names Shotta, Skibadee, Shabba D & Stormin are synonymous among Drum & Bass fans as the best MC’s in the business. Combine them with 2 of the best DJ’s in Macky Gee and Phantasy and you have one of the most sought-after super groups to have ever graced the music scene. It is in no surprise that Sasasas have had a meteoric rise since their formation, putting on shows full of incredible energy, countless anthems and awesome lyrics that draw in the hardcore fanbase. Coming off the back of sold-out shows at Fabric and an incredible tribute show to the late great MC Stormin who sadly passed away recently, this is one performance that promises to deliver on every level.
4. BUGZY MALONE
Another act making their SW4 debut is the eagerly anticipated, Bugzy Malone. Described by many as one of the key MC’s in the “grime revival”, Bugzy Malone has had a epic rise, culminating in performances at Glastonbury and releasing his first chart single with the legendary DJ Luck & MC Neat, ‘Through The Night’. Bugzy’s performances, with his deep lyrics, have his fans hanging onto his every word. If you’ve not yet been sold on the revival of grime music, this is one man who is certain to make you think otherwise.
3. SAM DIVINE
Defected resident, Sam Divine has firmly placed herself at the forefront of the house music scene. With her flawless performances, Sam Divine is often on the top of many peoples ‘must see’ list at festivals across Europe. With regular performances at Eden in Ibiza and sets at top festivals such as Hideout, it’s now time for Sam Divine to return to the common after last years stand out set and show everyone just why she is so talked about.
2. BASEMENT JAXX
Very special guests to the common this year, the hugely influential and instantly recognisable, Basement Jaxx. Taking centre stage at SW4’s impressive 10,000 capacity indoor stage, fans will no doubt be treated to some of the London duo’s classics such as “Red Alert” and “Where’s Your Head At”. With each epic electronic anthems, with roots draped in house, the pair will always endeavour to deliver a truly breathtaking performance as they have done for so many years. 1. CHASE & STATUS
Sunday night will be a double celebration. Closing the 15 Year celebration of SW4 in the most fitting and perfect way, celebrating their own 15 years of incredible music, will be drum and bass legends, Chase and Status. Back on Clapham Common for the first time since they 2012, with a huge loyal fanbase who are sure to swarm to the main stage for this spectacle, this performance is set to go down as one of the greatest in SW4 history. Expect nothing less than their iconic tunes and to be joined on stage for faultless MCing from Rage. After announcing the soon to be released new album ‘RTRN 2 JUNGLE’ (look for this in the winter!) that sees the duo return back to their old jungle roots, this sets up an inevitable explosive end to these 2 huge milestones.
