Boomtown has unveiled an EP showcasing their renowned opening and closing ceremony tracks, which are carefully crafted each year by curated artists, marking the festival’s vibrant kickoff and conclusion.

The opener, ‘The Time is Now’, boasts vocals from underground music icon Inja and the soulful dynamo Eva Lazarus, with production by KREED and Gold Dubs. Meanwhile, the closer, ‘Find Your Light’, helmed by Kleu, features the mesmerizing vocals of Red.

My first Boomtown was around ten years ago and like many others, I’ve been hooked since day one. The opening and closing ceremonies over the years have always been super inspirational, and for me those shows are a huge part of what gives Boomtown its special and unique flavour as a festival.

Working with Madly, Rider, Eva, Inja, Gold Dubs, Kleu and the team at Boomtown HQ was a joy in itself, but to see it all come together at the festival ceremonies was straight up mind-blowing. From the choreography, dancers and performers to the stage designs, animations and VFX – it was stellar to be a part of. The whole crew involved did such a phenomenal job and I’m so gassed to have been able to play a part. Big up Boomtown!

KREED

The EP’s release stems from an overwhelming demand from Boomtown attendees, with both tracks electrifyingly performed live across two main stages. A staggering crowd of 66,000 festival-goers welcomed these tracks at the festival’s onset and bid farewell to the weekend, marvelling at the award-winning production, performances, and visuals.

It was an honour to be asked to contribute to this project. From its inception all the way up to the final production itself we couldn’t help but feel that we were a part of
something very special. As for the ceremony itself: it was an utterly life changing experience.

Kleu

Both tracks were crafted in alignment with Boomtown’s immersive narrative, ‘Chapter Two: The Twin Trail,’ centred around mental health, introspection, and embracing one’s authentic self—a theme recently explored through shadow therapy, as inspired by the festival’s deeper revelations.

The EP is now available for streaming and download across major platforms, inviting listeners to immerse themselves in the captivating sounds of Boomtown’s ceremonious musical journey. Grab it here!

Finally, the long-awaited album from Moondance X Dope Ammo ‘Together’ is available across all platforms, bringing a whole host of scene legends and newcomers alike together which is uncanny considering that’s the title of the album!

A massive amount of bang up to date remixes feature here including Moondance anthems ‘Sound of Eden’, ‘Trip to the Moon’, ‘Don’t Go’ and ‘Searching for my Rizla’ just for starters.

It’s almost impossible to pick a selection of tracks to write about as the album contains over 40 future hits. What you will be pleased to hear though is that the reworks of the classics are true to form with no-nonsense and certainly no fillers. The original tunes come certified from not only Moondance & Dope Ammo but also Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter, Ellis Dee and Kenny Ken to name but a few.

Stand out slammers include reboots of Top Buzz’s ‘Living in Darkness’, Jimmy J & Cru-l-t’s early happy hardcore anthem ‘Six Days’ and The Criminal Minds’ ‘Baptised By Dub’ which features the ‘king of the midas touch’ MC Spyda this time around.

Instant buy on site business!

Being an old skool head myself when I was approached to support this monumental release I felt I had no choice but to oblige, it was as if I’d been called to duty! I have loved every single second of music I’ve heard and trust me there’s a lot more to come, each and every one of the tracks is an absolute smash! We’ve done a couple of premieres from the samplers already so it seemed apt to close the deal with this…

Today we premiere Dope Ammo and Kleu‘s remix of RatPack ‘Searching For My Rizla’ which you can check out below. The track drops on Friday 27th May and the full release comes on 4th June. Make sure you bag yourself a copy from here!

Brighton based Drum & Bass production duo Kleu have become names to watch since they burst onto the scene in 2018. They’ve been steadily building their fan base through a constant string of solid releases, DJ sets, live streams and radio shows. The hard work they’re putting in is evident and the results speak for themselves.

The duo has received continued radio support from the likes of René LaVice on BBC Radio 1 and Mollie Collins on Kiss FM, Flex 101.4 FM, plus recent releases on the trendsetting DNB Allstars, Dub Shotta, Device, Jungle Cakes, Born On Road and AudioPorn imprints. Their recent live stream for Run Tingz, featuring the ravers’ MC’s of choice Bassman and Funsta, has racked up close to 50k views!!! While live events in the UK have been locked off, the duo’s music still had crowds bubbling at festivals on the opposite side of the globe in New Zealand.

This week they released the track ‘One Night Only’ which is the duos first release on LoveThatBass and it’s, without doubt, some of their finest work. A sultry sing-a-long vocal hook, luscious pads, crisp breaks, all layered over a devastatingly phat reece bassline… The perfect ingredients for a sure fire Drum & Bass hit!

Earlier this week we premiered their track ‘No Way Home’ which is forthcoming on Beats In Mind as a single on 7th May. The output from these two at the moment is incredible, they clearly have a strong work ethic and I have no doubt in mind that before too long they will become a household name.

With an unrivalled energy in their live performances, a forthcoming booking list as long as your arm, a recent UKF feature and BBC Radio 1 guest mix, Kleu are serious ones to watch out for!

Today we add another Renegade Riddims mix to the series! The mix series is becoming so popular that we are going to be adding more and more mixes on Fridays as well as Tuesdays, so keep your eyes and ears peeled for the new weekend party starter mixes!

Check out the brand new Renegade Riddims mix from Kleu below! This one is available as a free download which you can get using the button beneath the player. You can also grab the single for your collection!

Since appearing on the scene, as if from nowhere in late 2018, production duo Kleu have rapidly established themselves among the forefront of Drum and Bass’ avant-garde producers.

From their first release, on Shimon’s AudioPorn label, it was clear that these two lads from Brighton were on a previously untrodden musical path. A string of high-profile bootlegs followed, culminating in one being featured as the introduction track on the first ever Problem Central mixtape, arguably the biggest and most anticipated mixtape in the history of Drum & Bass.

No Way Home art

Garnering a reputation at a rate of knots, Kleu stepped up their collective game and had releases on labels like Device, Dope Ammo, Dub Shotta, Gorilla Warfare, DnB Allstars, Born on Road and on Mollie CollinsRight Good Records. This soon led to the pair being signed to the legendary Jungle Cakes label and Hot Cakes agency.

Now they join the team over at the amazing initiative Beats In Mind with their contribution to the 6th Volume of Headsbass. They join a mountain of other names who have already released on the label. The new offering includes music from Conrad Subs & Sammie Hall ft. MC Swadie, Sweetpea who delivers a bonus mix, Echo Motion, Millstreet, Alpha Rhythm, K2T, Dave Shichman and more! Kleu deliver ‘No Way Home’ which we premiere today and is absolute fire!

Beats In Mind is a dance music based community, offering information, support, music and comfort to those suffering with mental health issues. Their jobs couldn’t be more prevalent than they have been over the last year or so.

Check out Kleu ‘No Way Home’ below, it drops as a single on 7th May and Headsbass Volume 6 drops on 14th May. Make sure you grab a copy using the purchase link beneath the Soundcloud player!
