5 Acts You Need To See At Parklife 2022

Heading back to Heaton Park between Saturday 11th – Sunday 12th June, Parklife 2022 has been the hot topic across Manchester and the rest of the UK since January, when it released its overly impressive lineup brimming with some of the hottest musical artists in the world right now. With tickets being snapped up in record time, now with less than one month to go Parklife has announced details of a very limited one-off 2022 ticket resale, as part of continuing efforts to protect festival fans from the dangers of the secondary ticket market and ticket touts. (find here)

With a lineup featuring the likes of 50 Cent, Bicep (Live), PinkPantheress, Chase & Status, Carl Cox, Four Tet, Peggy Gou and Megan Thee Stallion, here are five artists we’ve hand-picked that you can’t afford to miss… 

Fred Again… 

For fans of: Jamie XX, DJ Seinfeld 

Fred Again… is one of the most talented and exciting music producers around at the moment. After hiding in the shadows behind hit tracks for the likes of Charli XCX, George Ezra and Ed Sheeran, Fred Again… has come to the forefront after releasing two albums ‘Actual Life 1’ and ‘Actual Life 2’. Creating electronic music that’s relatable, heartfelt, and a diary like insight into his life, Fred Again… also likes to involve his fans in his live shows and videos, forming lasting and meaningful relationships with them that keeps them coming back. 


Salute 

For fans of: Tourist, Kaytranada 

Based in Manchester but originally from Austria, Salute draws inspiration from the full spectrum of club music, whilst his productions carry a sense of longing and melancholy. Fueling his tracks with bags of energy, Salute creates sparkling euphoric dance music designed to make you feel something. 


Jamie XX 

For fans of: Caribou, Disclosure 

Jamie XX’s career began when he joined English indie band, the XX in 2005. Since then, he’s become notable for his solo debut too and his 2015 album ‘In Colour’. Filling his sets with 80’s ballads, expansive collaborations with globally renowned vocalists and club bangers, Jamie XX simply cannot be missed at Parklife. 


Mahalia  

For fans of: Nao, Joy Crookes 

Neo-soul star Mahalia will be dazzling the Parklife crowd on the Saturday of the festival and is known for filling her sets with character, her journey through past relationships and lessons she’s learnt along the way. With a gorgeously effortless tone to her voice, Mahalia is the kind of artist you want to be listening to on a sunny Saturday afternoon. 


Dimension  

For fans of: Sub Focus, Wilkinson 

If there’s a festival with Dimension on the line-up, you should ALWAYS take the time out of your day to go and see the Drum and Bass DJ. Dimension is one of the most unique dancefloor Drum and Bass DJ’s around at the moment; he’s always dressed smartly in black from head to toe and delivers an effortlessly cool set every time without fail. When it comes to his music, his tracks are anthemic, crystal clear with exquisite production and you’ll find yourself singing his iconic tracks back to him. 


Whether you’re at Parklife for one day or the whole weekend, the multi-genre line-up of the most exciting artists around at the moment means there’s something for everyone.
