Belfast’s renowned AVA Festival is back with their four-day festival and conference between 28th and 31st May 2020. After much anticipation and a bold billboard advert with all names blanked out, AVA has announced a lineup bursting with both homegrown and international talent.

Having been hosted at S13 (a former B&Q warehouse) for the past 2 years (read last year’s review here), this year AVA will move to a new festival site built completely from scratch by the AVA team, in south Belfast’s Boucher playing fields. AVA festival will feature a main stage, and partner stages with music broadcasting platform Boiler Room and Red Bull. AVA has described the new location at Boucher playing fields as “offering a headline ready main stage, whilst incorporating the raw, industrial intimate stage experiences with lighting and visual art”.
The free music conference will return to Belfast’s Metropolitan Arts Centre (MAC) in Belfast city centre, along with the opening show on Thursday 28th May.

Headlining the festival will be Laurent Garnier, Orbital, Max Cooper, Helena Hauff, Fatima Yamaha and Denis Sulta b2b Mella Dee. The lineup also features the usual AVA suspects such as Or:la, Cromby, Brame & Hamo, Holly Lester and Sally C, alongside new faces, such as Dr. Rubenstein and DJ Seinfeld. AVA Boiler Room favourites Sunil Sharpe and Space Dimension Controller also return to the lineup.
Alongside a two day festival and conference, the AVA team will also be running events throughout the year in London, Dublin & Glasgow.
