Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
A little bit of spice and everything nice – Chicago style.
What’s your personal favourite track on it?
An unreleased track of mine with Halil Sensei. It fuses multiple genres of dance music that brings everything out of you – good, bad and ugly. I feel something real when I hear this track.
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
Me – I put 7 of my own songs in this mix (5 unreleased). I’m getting to a place where I’m confident in my sound and style which is unapologetically Sherm.
Tell us about your next EP?
I have 4 tracks still to come this year – all on Hood Politics Records. Hood Poli gives myself and other artists a platform to express their creativity and show their love of music. We put out high-energy and memorable house music that fans love and DJs download but also outside-of-the-box music like you’ve never heard before. That’s what you can expect with these upcoming releases.
What have you got coming up?
I’m performing at North Coast Music Festival in a few weeks and have BIG plans for it. New visuals, merch, and a set like people have never seen before. I’m also going to be playing a Hood Politics x Bring The Kingdom showcase at ADE in October and have some more show announcements coming soon as well. Oh, and don’t forget about all that new music.
And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
Live life with passion and love. Treat others with kindness, and compliment strangers. Be yourself. Smile and laugh every day. Challenge yourself creatively. Enjoy this mix.
