This collaboration happened after MistaJam joined me on Twitch early in the year. EMEXL made a track using part of MistaJam conversation with me, I sent it to him and they connected and worked on more music together.
Today, he joins us on the podcast for the first time. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or iTunes here.
What’s your personal favourite track on it?
That’s like asking me which of my children is my favourite! It kicks off with my new single Harmonies but I’ll talk about that later. It’s also got a few collaborations between EMEXL and I – it was of course thanks to Data Transmission that we met each other in the first place so I thought it would be nice to sneak in a cheeky ID of something we’re currently working on.
It’s not finished, it hasn’t got a home or a title yet but it’s been going off in my sets so watch this space! Also, the Chloe Robinson and DJ ADHD record ‘Do One’ is one of the most inventive House records I’ve heard all year. Such a bouncy banger that one!
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
Tea. I always mix better with a cuppa on the go!
Tell us about your next release?
It’s called “Harmonies”. I’ve been road-testing it at my gigs over the last few months and the response has been like nothing else I’ve made before which completely took me by surprise.
It’s the kind of reaction every producer/DJ wishes they got when playing an ID in their sets! It’s a powerful, emotional uplifting House banger with some Trance elements and I’m really proud of it. I hope other people love it as much as I do.
What have you got coming up?
I’m planning to up the volume of my releases next year so hopefully, there will be a lot more music from me. I’m always up to something so best bet is to keep an eye on my socials!
Do you have a special message for our readers?
Yes. The music business – especially our corner of it in the Dance world – can be extremely political, cliquey and ultimately a really dark place. But Grahame and the team at Data Transmission are truly some of the best people you could wish to meet. They’ve always had their finger on the pulse and give so much of their time to help other people that they’re truly unique and I just wanted to say thank you so much for having my back over the last 10 years.
