Germany’s MELT Festival adds Chase & Status, Overmono, Yussef Davies & more to stellar lineup

Share

Returning this summer with one of Europe’s most exciting and varied lineups – Germany’s MELT Festival today shares their final announcement and it includes some heavy hitting names. Top of the bill, are UK legends Chase & Status bringing serious energy to proceedings. They also have electronica rising stars Overmono providing their own blend of garage and electronica.

MELT Festival is one of the most renowned festivals in Germany. For over 25 years, it has been attracting thousands to the former Ferropolis open-cast mine in Gräfenhainichen every year, offering an experience that is unique in Germany. Over 150 contemporary artists from the genres of rap, indie, techno, house, pop and much more inspire visitors year after year. In recent years, artists such as Fred Again.., Little Simz, Moderat, Róisín Murphy, Brutalismus 3000, Bicep (live), Jamie xx and many more have been confirmed.

“At MELT, we try to look beyond the horizon every year, to go new ways, and especially to give new artists a chance.

Looking at our now complete lineup and known acts like Sampha and Romy, the Sugababes, Jayda G., the newly confirmed Overmono and Chase & Status, but also a new generation like DJ Heartstring or Marlon Hoffstadt, we can present an incredible variety of exciting and versatile artists this year. It is rounded off by insider tips like Kenya Grace, COBRAH, No Guidnce, or Pretty Girl, all of whom will receive a lot of attention in the coming years and some of whom will play their first shows exclusively with us in Germany.

Therefore, we can say with pride that we have succeeded in this balancing act again this year. Ticket sales are currently as good as they were before Corona, and we are confident that we will also sell out this year. We are really pleased that our new approach has been so positively received by the attendees!”

Florian Czok, festival director and booker, states:

MELT 2024 will take place from July 11-13, 2024 in Ferropolis, Gräfenhainichen. Tickets are available at www.meltfestival.de/en/tickets.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
