Beatport’s ReConnect Summit announces 1st wave of speakers

Beatport, the global leader of music for DJs, producers, and their fans, has announced the first wave of speakers for its inaugural ReConnect Summit in New York City taking place on 21st and 22nd September at 74 Wythe (Superior Ingredients) in Brooklyn.

PIXELYNX co-founders deadmau5 and Richie Hawtin will offer the inside scoop on emerging technologies in Web3 within the music space. Other artist speakers include A-Trak, Coco & Breezy, Eris Drew, Giolì & Assia, Kerri Chandler, Natalia Clavier, Octo Octa, and UNiiQU3 with more still to be announced.

The ReConnect Summit is a one-of-a-kind event for music industry professionals to immerse themselves in inspirational conversations and unique showcases. The two-day event will highlight topics such as wellness, diversity and inclusion, Web3, branding, future technology, and what’s next in music, with attendees comprising international artists and professionals from some of the most innovative companies and initiatives impacting the music industry.

ReConnect Summit will also feature industry heavyweights from Meta, Association for Electronic Music, Reed Smith LLP, MAC Presents, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), Red Light Management, Disruptor Records (The Chainsmokers) as well as speakers and attendees from the most relevant labels, distributors, and technology platforms. Intended to be more than a traditional conference, ReConnect will provide valuable opportunities for guests to fully engage with others in our profession while experiencing immersive activations and interactive Q&A sessions from innovators such as Audius, Volta, and PIXELYNX.

Attendees will experience wellness programming hosted by The Art of Areté, featuring a call and response session “laughtercises,” led by ambient music pioneer LARAAJI, and a special breathwork session hosted by Natalia Clavier of Thievery Corporation. Additional daytime programming will come from DanceSafe, shesaid.so, and Women In Music, who will host educational workshops on topics ranging from throwing safer events to growing independent artists.

The summit will also feature intimate nighttime events with some of the world’s top DJs and artists, which will be announced in the coming weeks. 

Tickets start from $225 for a full two-day pass, or $125 for single day, which gains access to daytime talks, keynotes, workshops, rooftop DJ sets, and nightly events in the club’s main room. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased here: https://reconnect.beatport.com/
