Share

Active since 2007, Moog Conspiracy has been a powerhouse in the techno scene, spinning tracks and producing beats across the globe for over a decade.

Known for the intense energy and variety in his live and DJ sets, he’s lit up stages everywhere—from Europe to the USA, South Asia to South and Central America. You’ve probably caught him at iconic spots like Sisyphos and Tresor in Berlin, Fusion Festival, ADE in Amsterdam, Blue Frog in India, Time Club in Manila, Resolute in NYC, or The Egg in the UK.

Not just a DJ, Moog Conspiracy is also the mastermind behind Berlin’s Elektrotribe Records and a key figure at the legendary Sisyphos club. With a discography boasting over 200 tracks, remixes, and four studio albums, his output is nothing short of prolific.

Moog Conspiracy’s sound is a carefully crafted blend of techno, leaning into a minimalist vibe with hypnotic beats that keep the dancefloor moving. His influences? A big nod to the Berlin Techno Scene and those classic early Detroit sounds.

Today, he joins the NUDE Techno podcast, with an hour of Techno. Listen to it below on SoundCloud & Mixcloud. If you are feeling this series, then please consider supporting it on Mixcloud Select.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
A selection of fresh techno tracks packed with energy and groove.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
I think my favourite track in that set is Trunk by Edetto, as it feels like a perfect track for the summer, it has a lot of groove, has a very positive vibe, and it makes you eager to hear more.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
It’s a versatile set, which is, I think, fitting great for listening at home or with headphones.
The style range is large in a sense that it is not monotonous, and it has a lower tempo than a club set,  which makes it more accessible for enjoying during the day or in different situations.

Tell us about your next EP?
My next Ep is named “Redux”. It will be released in September on the USA based label Cmnd Ctrl owned by B. Riley.  It is my artistic take on higher bpm techno. The EP has a special drive that is characteristic of my new tracks and includes sound elements that have traveled with me through time. “Redux” especially has a very minimalist synth, which is characteristic of the 2008/2010 minimal techno era.

The little story behind: I always loved this kind of synth line and didn’t know how to make them back then. I found this patch with modules when I was producing the track a few months ago. I built the track around this synth sound. I think it’s an amazing track, and I am very looking forward to having it released.

The second track is more 2024 rooted, in the sense that the elements composing the track are more typical of what we are hearing in the clubs right now. It’s called “Lightspeed”. The EP comes with a great remix by Ilian Motov from Bulgaria, who runs the underground techno collective “Hivemind”.

What have you got coming up?
I have some tour dates coming up in Europe the next months in Netherlands, Greece, France and Germany.
I’m looking forward to the release of the new EP Redux on Cmnd Ctrl, one new track on a VA of a Berlin modular synth collective named “Raw Industries”, and a new EP coming on my label Elektrotribe records that will be released by the end of the year.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
Enjoy the mix. Thanks for listening & greetings from Berlin.
