Share

Portsmouth-born duo Acid Cats make their debut on Superfreq with their electrifying ‘Descending Into Chaos’ EP, a long-awaited 3-track offering that pushes the boundaries of Acid and Deep Tech.

Leading the charge is the title track, ‘Descending Into Chaos’, an explosive number that kicks off with flanged hats before diving into pounding beats, intense 303 acid lines, and a rolling bassline that will have dancefloors in a frenzy. This is a track that lives up to its name—raw, chaotic energy expertly crafted for peak-time sets.

Next up is the cleverly titled ‘Secret Virus Spreader’, which doesn’t hold back. With unrelenting beats, a hypnotic bassline, warped 303s, and eerie chord stabs, it’s a Deep Tech Acid gem packed with trippy synths that will leave listeners craving more.

Rounding off the EP is ‘Is This Detroit’, a haunting homage to techno’s spiritual home. Deep, trippy 303 lines weave seamlessly with eerie pads to create an atmospheric journey through the darker side of Acid.

The ‘Descending Into Chaos’ EP showcases why Superfreq continues to stand at the forefront of modern Acid House and Deep Tech. With its cutting-edge sound and relentless energy, this release firmly cements Acid Cats as an act to watch.
