Renegade Riddims: DAIN

Born and bred in Milton Keynes, DAIN is an artist who prides himself on bringing high-energy vibes to every mix and set. He pours his heart into his music, creating nostalgic blends that hit just right.

From a young age, DAIN knew music was his true passion. Back in his school and college days, he was constantly jamming to Chase & Status and Pendulum. The moment he discovered the beats of Ed Solo, Benny Page, and the Jungle Cakes crew at raves, he was hooked.

During the lockdown, DAIN seized the opportunity to focus intensely on his music, getting his name out there. By 2022, his hard work paid off when he signed with the local label On The Decks. Since then, he’s been lighting up events and festivals like Snowbombing, Litfest, and Hidden. He’s also been part of epic takeovers like Jungle Cakes, and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the scene, including Pendulum, Chase & Status, Camo & Krooked, Wilkinson, Dimension, Friction, Bladerunner, Ed Solo, and Turno.

Nowadays, DAIN isn’t just making waves as a DJ. He’s the resident and roster manager for OTD, helping to scout fresh talent for local events. Plus, he’s got another exciting project going on. Teaming up with Liam Deegan aka DEEGZ, they’re known as Order and Chaos. These two have been hard at work producing tracks, releasing music with OTD, and dropping free downloads. Their mission? To spread positive energy and good vibes through their music…and we’re here for it!

Today DAIN is back on Renegade Riddims for the second time. His progression since his last mix has come on at a crazy rate. I personally love to see him play and have a good ole skank! His new mix features music from the likes of Ed Solo, Benny Page, Circadian, Zombie Cats, Conrad Subs, Formula, Jenks, Crossy, Amplify and Deegz & Kaspa, which I’m particularly gassed about, so massive thanks from me to DAIN for fitting ‘Heavy & Shelley’ in!!

A cross of jungle and wobbly jump up, bringing the energy!

Tell us about your next EP…

There are a few producers that me and my partner in crime Deegz have been working with, as our duo “Order and Chaos”, but nothing to release just yet. We are aiming for an EP release for Jan ’25 with loads of MK local artists.

What have you got coming up? 

Unglued & Subsonic on 3rd August and DJSS & Phibes on 30th August both at Unit Nine in Milton Keynes. Also a festival set that i can not announce just yet!

When was the last time you actually raved?

I raved and played at Hidden Festival last weekend, it was an absolute VIBE!
