Alicia Mills, known by her stage name MIYAMORO, has been shaking up the Drum & Bass scene with her innovative productions. Over the past three years, she’s made a name for herself with a sound that’s fresh, unique, and unmistakably hers.

Now calling Manchester home, MIYAMORO burst onto the scene with her official debut, ‘Your Love / Dream (Not Enough)’ on DIVIDID. This track not only scored her a coveted spot on UKF but also firmly established her as a force to be reckoned with in the Drum & Bass community.

MIYAMORO draws inspiration from a mix of genres, including House and Future Bass. Her meticulous attention to detail and creative approach result in tracks that blend nostalgic vibes with futuristic sounds. The carefully crafted bass lines, vocal samples, and syncopated drum patterns make her music both unique and captivating. Sum up the mix in 10 words…

Melodically driven techy tunes across a collection of sub genres

What’s your personal favourite track on it?

Honestly, it’s quite hard to pick because I’ve really tried to include all of my favourite tunes at the moment, Mistrrr’s flip of ‘Ghost’ is definitely up there as well as the tune by dossyx which might be my tune of the year.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix…

It’s a nice little journey through a load of sub genres with some slower tempo stuff thrown in too and I’ve tried to keep a consistent melodic feel, so if you’re not feeling part of this mix just skip ahead 10 minutes and you might find something you like.

Tell us about your next EP…

My next release is coming later this year toward the end of summer which is going to include one of my favourite tunes I’ve written. I also have an EP coming out with Phase Records in Spring next year.

What have you got coming up?

Another release coming before the end of the year and a few other things I’m super excited to announce but can’t say too much about yet.

When was the last time you actually raved?

Probably Koan Sound at Clock Factory back in June
