Share

Mark Knight welcomes one of his favourite producers, Jay Vegas, to his Fool’s Paradise label with a hugely funky NuDisco stomper, ‘Feel The Beat’.

Primed to rock the festive party season and beyond, Jay brings his signature twisted Disco sound of playfully chopped up loops that twizzle around a sumptuous platter of Jazzy brass hooks, discofied strings, classy keys and a catchy femme vocal, all underpinned by an irresistible funky groove. If you like your music funky, fresh and exciting, then Jay’s got you covered!

Jay Vegs is one of the leaders of the contemporary Disco House school, gaining global recognition for his instantly recognisable and in-demand grooves with support from David Morales, Mark Knight, Mousse T, Norman Cook, Danny Rampling and Grant Nelson, to name a few.

Through the 90’s under the guises Soundscapers and Nu Graduates alongside James Ryan, Jay appeared on labels such as Subliminal, Ministry of Sound and Cream. Since then, Jay has gone on to release solo productions and remixes for labels such as Toolroom, Guesthouse Music, Salted Music, Space Disco, Good For You and more.

Jay has remixed for an array of artists: Todd Terry, Mark Knight, DJ Chus, Harry Romero, Gene Farris & Joeski. As well as holding down a busy DJ schedule, Jay also runs his own imprint Hot Stuff Records, which is now celebrating its 10th Anniversary.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
