Lady Tazz Returns with Hermanas (Part Two) Featuring South America’s Finest Female Techno Talents

Bangladeshi-Canadian artist Lady Tazz is back with Lady Tazz Presents Hermanas (Part Two), the second installment in her groundbreaking series spotlighting female techno producers from South America. Released on her own Mind Medizin label, this carefully curated four-track EP continues to celebrate the region’s vibrant electronic scene and its influential female voices.

Known for her dark, seductive, and boundary-pushing approach to techno, Lady Tazz has carved out a unique niche with releases on labels like Rekids. With Hermanas, she channels her mission of encouraging self-expression and liberation on the dancefloor. This latest volume offers a stunning showcase of four South American artists who bring raw energy and innovation to the genre.

Opening the EP is Sol Ortega from Argentina, whose Mind Is Clear delivers powerful, linear techno with warped synth stabs, hypnotic vocal effects, and a relentless groove. Next up is Gina Demarchi, another Argentinian talent now based in Madrid. Her track Maniac Girl is a dense, textural powerhouse with metallic drums and coarse percussive layers that keep the energy at peak levels.

From Medellín, Vannesa Gnz contributes Smooth, a hard-hitting, jackhammer of a track with sonar-like synth pulses and oversized hi-hats that demand movement on the dancefloor. Closing the release is Venezuelan-born Isabel Soto with Vita, a sleek and minimal cut reminiscent of Millsian space explorations. Its rolling drums and cosmic synths take listeners on a deep, interstellar journey.

With Hermanas (Part Two), Lady Tazz not only amplifies the voices of these talented artists but continues her mission of creating space for empowerment and innovation in the techno world.

Lady Tazz Presents Hermanas (Part Two) lands on Mind Medizin on November 29th, 2024. Pre-order your copy here.*
