NUDE062: Mha Iri

Share

Mha Iri is an Australian techno artist who has quickly risen to international stardom after already being a popular DJ in her home country.

Her brutal percussion and blissed-out breakdowns create a twisted euphoria on the dance floor and her music can be found on labels including Markantonio’s AnalyticTrail and Spektre’s Respekt.

Most recently she dropped her “Your Heart EP” on UMEK’s 1605 and the title track is currently positioned inside Beatport’s top 10 best sellers for the genre. This exclusive podcast is the perfect example of her peak time techno style, and we hope you enjoy the mix.

Today, she joins the NUDE Techno podcast, with an hour of Techno. Listen to it below on SoundCloud & Mixcloud. If you are feeling this series, then please consider supporting it on Mixcloud Select.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words –
I loved making it and I hope you enjoy listening.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
Kleber – “Function” I absolutely love the throbbing bassline, the unusual synths and the fact that Kleber has created such a driving yet hypnotic track that sounds really unique compared to a lot of the techno that’s out at the moment.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
Listen and decide for yourself lol

Tell us about your next EP?
It’s a little bit darker than the EP that has just come out on UMEK’s 1605, but after writing two very uplifting and emotive tracks, I felt like going for something grittier.

What have you got coming up?
Lots of gigs 🙂 I’m also doing a class for SAE dissecting the tracks from the Your Heart’ EP on 1605 so that will be fun.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
I know many of you are going through a difficult time right now so I hope this set lifts you up and makes you smile for a moment. Never lose hope and keep on dancing. With love Mha iri
