Bad Boombox and Mischluft kick off 2025 with a bang, releasing their collaborative ‘The Pressure’ EP via Hot Meal Records.
This four-track powerhouse blends Bad Boombox’s funky, bouncy grooves with Mischluft’s moody basslines and hypnotic vocal hooks, capturing the energy and emotion of late-night club culture. The focus track, ‘Out at the Club,’ featuring MCYL, is a peak-time anthem designed to set dancefloors ablaze.
“I’ve always admired Fritz’s (Mischluft’s) approach to building tension in his tracks,” says Bad Boombox. “Working with him pushed me into new territory. This EP is funkier, darker, and hits harder than anything I’ve done before.”
Mischluft adds, “On The Pressure EP, I demonstrate more diversity and creativity in every element than my previous productions. From sexy vocals and groovy basslines to funky and trance-inspired elements, it’s packed with variety. Djeki (Bad Boombox) pushes me to step out of my comfort zone and shows me what’s possible when you dare to try. I think the four tracks on the EP are a wonderful example of what happens when two producers collaborate, enriching each other with their strengths and growing together.”
Born in Sofia and raised in the USA, Bad Boombox brings a vibrant fusion of Balkan rhythms, disco, and electronic influences to his music, while Leipzig-based Mischluft combines trance-inspired melodies with bouncy techno grooves. Both artists push their creative boundaries on this EP, delivering a collection that’s raw, sexy, and deeply groovy.
Out now on all major platforms, ‘The Pressure’ EP sets the tone for a bold year ahead for Hot Meal Records. With heavy basslines, relentless energy, and irresistible hooks, this release is a must-hear for fans of underground dance music.
